Two movements are gaining momentum in economics: the call to address race, stratification in the US, and the call to diversify and rethink economics globally. Both call for an agenda of decolonization.
Join Sakiko Fukuda-Parr, Professor of International Affairs at The New School, in conversation with Grieve Chelwa and Ingrid Harvold Kvangraven on how race, inequality, and colonial history need to reshape the field of economics.
Panelists:
• Grieve Chelwa is an economist from Zambia. He is on the faculty of the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town, and recently joined The New School as fellow at the Institute of Race, Stratification and Political Economy. @gchelwa
